In 1996 BigLee became the head publicist at MVP Records in West Hollywood and less than a year later was promoted to Director of Media Relations at the label. In 1995 BigLee moved out to Los Angeles and began doing publicity at FSPR public relations helping out with groups on the Delicious Vinyl roster, including Masta Ace, The Pharcyde and the Brand New Heavies. He has worked on productions featuring artists like Public Enemy, K-Solo, Chubb Rock, Queen Latifah, Madonna, Matt Dillon, Randy Quaid and Nicholas Cage. MC Magic would later appear at the Jamaica Armory opening for Grandmaster Melle Mel, and Doug E Fresh and the Get Fresh Crew under the group name “MC Magic and the Newbreed”.Īfter a few months doing a stint as an Underground radio DJ in NY, Magic, going by the name BigLee started to do production work on music videos and feature films.
